Verification is how a manufacturer takes over maintaining the records CountertopData holds for its own materials, rather than leaving them to be reconstructed from published documents.

What verification changes

A verified brand has reviewed the records we hold for its materials and confirmed they are current, and maintains them going forward. Verified records carry that provenance and a badge on the brand's profile.

Verification does not change a material's classification, its published silica figures, its recorded availability, or how it ranks in search: it only determines who maintains a record and how current it is. Read our full independence statement.

How to start

Manufacturers pay an annual fee to verify their listings, which covers the ongoing work of maintaining the data with them directly. To start, get in touch with your brand name and we will send the current records we hold for review.
